What is pass plus?
Pass Plus is a driving course specifically aimed at new drivers. It is designed by the driving standards agency (DSA) with help from insurers and the driver instruction industry.
Using the skills you already have learnt from your driving lessons it will help you anticipate and deal with all kinds of hazards.
Pass Plus is made up of 6 modules
- Driving Lessons in town
In this module you will learn how to deal with complicated junctions
- Driving Lessons in all weather
In this module you will find out how to drive safely in all different weather conditions
- Driving Lessons on rural roads In this module you will find out about some of the dangers associated with rural roads and how to deal with bends, hills and overtaking safely
- Driving Lessons at night
In this module you will be taught how to deal with dazzle, judge speed distances and how to use your lights correctly
- Driving Lessons on dual carriage ways
In this module you will be taken on fast roads and taught about using effective observation, planning ahead and how to join and leave a dual carriageway
- Driving on a motorway
Motorways are fast roads and you have little room for error as everything happens so quickly. You will be taught how to join and leave the motorway where to look when driving on motorways and what to do in breakdowns.
If you hold a full UK license you can take the pass plus course and there is no test.
